About Mrs. Kipp
I am very happy to be a kindergarten teacher at Olive Chapel Elementary! I was born in this community and have lived nearby most of my life. I graduated from Meredith College with a K-9 teaching certificate. I am a National Board teacher, and I have taught 32 years in Wake County, mostly kindergarten. I love teaching and encouraging kindergarten children, watching their eyes sparkle as they try new things, and seeing how much they grow socially and academically through the year. Away from school, I enjoy gardening, reading, visiting with our grandchildren, and going to the beach.
About Mrs. Sox
I'm thankful to join the Olive Chapel Elementary team this year. I recently took an early retirement from my career as an instructor in the airline industry. I discovered very quickly that I was not ready to really retire. I am excited to work with young learners in my own community. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Journalism. Gig 'Em, Aggies! I spent my early career in various roles at a daily newspaper. Reading and writing are very important to me. I haven't met many books that I didn't like! My other interests are music, traveling and anything that involves my family and friends.
Our family has lived in the Cary/Apex area for 26 years. My husband and I met in high school and just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We have three children in their 20s, one old dog and a rabbit.
